The WNBA is Important Too!

Compared to the NBA, some people believe the WNBA is unpopular, calling it boring. Others believe the WNBA is poorly marketed because it is not as important. I believe the WNBA is important too.

The NBA was founded June 6, 1946. The WNBA was founded April 24, 1996. The WNBA was created because people finally realized that girls should also be allowed to play competitive basketball.

It is no secret that girls are treated differently than boys. However, I believe girls should be treated equally to boys. Girls shouldn’t not be banned from playing certain sports just because they are male dominated. Girls should be able to play basketball too, or any other sport they want.

In conclusion, no sport should be only for boys or girls, everybody should be able to play whatever sports they choose. The WNBA is important because women's sports are NOT boring, girls get active too and are talented athletes. Any girl should be able to participate in any sport because girls dominate sports too!
