All About Hampton University

On March 25, 2023, Friendship Collegiate Academy visited Hampton University, the historically black research university located in Hampton, Virginia. Our bus arrived there at 10 AM and we began touring the campus around 10:30. 

Hampton was a nice-sized university. While touring campus, we ran into a few college students. They were very welcoming and excited to talk about their experience on campus.  We also ran into a few sorority members, from Delta, AKA, and the Kappas while on the way to the food court. Based on my experience at Hampton University, I'm considering joining a sorority when I go off to college this fall.

Overall, Hampton University has a cool campus, however I would apply to Hampton University more because it feels like home, especially considering the culture and environment. For instance, I've gone to Hampton football games and they were very fun and engaging. I’d give Hampton University a rating of 8/10, only because of the limited food options and their graduation rate of 56.4%.
