Another Run for Peyton

After a difficult 43-8 loss in the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning looks to be starting off on the same foot. In the 2013 season, Peyton broke Tom Brady’s single season touchdown record and Drew Brees’s single season passing yards record. Not only that, the Denver Broncos had 4 different receivers with 10+ receiving touchdowns (a record). Peyton also had his first 5,000 yard passing season which lead to his 6th NFL MVP award and a trip to the Super Bowl.

As stated before, the Denver Broncos didn’t win the Super Bowl but ended the 2013 season 13-3. This year, Peyton has broken Brett Favre’s career passing touchdown record of 508 touchdowns. Peyton got his 509th passing touchdown while facing the San Francisco 49ers winning by a score of 42-17. This year the Broncos are 7-3 after 10 games.

So will Peyton win a second Super Bowl? Will he and the Denver Broncos reach the Super Bowl? This is up to the Broncos defense. They added DeMarcus Ware and other defensive players. Last year, Denver had the worst defense in the NFL and the number one offense.

This year as of Week 11, they had the number three offense and the number five defense. They have really improved. In my opinion, as long as the Broncos continue playing this way, I feel they will make it to at least the AFC Championship game.
