Congress Needs to Restrict Guns

On June 24, 2022, there was a mass shooting in Charlotte, North Carolina and just the day before that, there were six mass shootings. States including Washington,Texas, New Jersey, and Virginia were all hit. Four people were killed and over 30 people were injured in these shootings but it could have been alot worse. We need to find a way to stop these shootings from happening. We need order. We need control.
Congress has passed a bill called the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act which will enhance background checks for gun buyers under 21 years of age, provide billions of dollars for mental health services, harden schools, and close the so-called "boyfriend loophole" to prevent convicted domestic abusers from purchasing a firearm for five years. With laws like this one, we are one step closer to preventing these acts of terror.
With this law we’re moving in the right direction. But it isn’t enough. We need more. We need more effective ways to stop shootings and other gun-related acts of violence from happening. People, I beg of you, you need to vote for candidates who support these laws because without them more shootings will happen. We can stop this from happening with everyone's help.
