JUL. 23, 2021: On June 19th, 2021, Sha’Carri Richardson who is an African American female track star  was suspended from the Olympics for use of marijuana. She also wasn't selected to run on Team USA. It was reported that Richardson lost her mom which could have been the reason she used marijuana.

I believe Sha’Carri Richardson should be able to run in the Olympics because marijuana isn't a performance-enhancing drug. Marijuana can be used to treat Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, epilepsy and appetite loss. Smoking marijuana can affect your lungs.

Will Sha’Carri continue to run track? I think she will continue to run if she has a chance. Running track may be one thing to keep her out of trouble. If you were in Sha’Carri’s shoes how would you react and feel if you were in her situation?
