FCA Races Into The New Year

On January 1, 2023, the Friendship Collegiate Academy cross country team participated in Mayor Muriel Bowser's 9th Annual FITDC Fresh Start 5K event at Freedom Plaza.

It was an interesting and fun experience and a way to start off the year. We were all tired and warmed up for 2023. After an exhausting 5k, Senior Braylon Wims loved the experience, “It was great to run another 5k after the cross country season ended. It’s great to see the running community come out, run together and get active. It was an amazing way to start my 2023.”

Alexander Santos is a senior at Friendship Collegiate Academy.
