I Can’t Learn When It’s Freezing Cold

JAN. 11, 2018: What the heck are Baltimore Public Schools doing? Why are these kids in their coats, scarves, gloves, and winter gear sitting in their classrooms? Did the principals of these schools lose their brains? On Friday, January 5th, 2017, Baltimore disappointed many kids by making them sit in classrooms where there was no heat. If the people who are in charge knew this, why wasn’t it important?
You can’t make children sit in class and expect them to learn in their coats the entire time they’re at school. What is that—seven hours? This just made me MAD! How come they just didn’t cancel school as if it was a snow day? That’s not fair for the kids. What will happen if they froze for real! If I was a parent, I would feel so peeved and just go find another school.
I’m so happy that the media found out from some concerned parents so the school district could close schools the next day. I don’t think anyone can learn when they are feeling uncomfortable.
