Is the DC Statehood Going to Happen?

On November 8, 2016, Ninety-seven percent of the Washington, DC residents voted yes on their ballot for DC statehood. But, now people are wondering, “Is it actually going to happen?” Now, that Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States, people are really doubting that it will. If, Hillary Clinton became the president, she would have really been helping to push for DC to become a state. I really hope on December 19 the electoral college votes for Hillary Clinton so that she and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes-Norton can help make Washington, DC a state.
