DECEMBER 8, 2014: A new tribute to the Hunger Games trilogy has been added at last. Suzanne Collins’s popular dystopian trilogy did it again! Over 123 million dollars in its first opening. With Jennifer Lawrence returning as the beautiful heroine, Katniss Everdeen, and her two men, Peeta and Gale, the characters continue to sweep fans off their feet leaving all on the edges of their seats craving more. After the other two movies, Hunger Games and Catching Fire, viewers have been anticipating the next action-packed, dramatic and captivating film. Hunger Game fans were starving for this new Hunger Games movie to come out, and what better time to release this movie than during the start of the holiday season.
With its recent release on November 21, plus the previous movies from 2012 and 2013, there was no doubt that a great deal of people filled the theaters in droves.
Even though it’s only part one, millions will probably watch the movie, hence it being a two-part finale. For now, fans will have to reread the trilogy and watch the first three movies until the last movie hit the big screen sometime next year.
Mocking Jay received a decent review and was only filled with half of the story from the book. I strongly feel that movies are a favorite amongst many who love a great book, so adaptations are sometimes what we look forward to the most. Despite part two’s release next year, the devoted fans will have to wait patiently until this day comes. No one could torture themselves with a cliff hanger, or manage to resist how Hollywood will bring forth this closing in a spectacular way that will leave fans talking for years to come.
