On December 17th, Friendship Collegiate Academy’s robotics team, the RoboKnights, competed in their first robotics competition of the season. They went to Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland and participated in the Capital Beltway Challenge. They were the only team from D.C. at the competition.
The RoboKnights placed 15th out of 29 teams coming from all around the DMV area, and won three out of five matches. They were later eliminated during the 16th playoff round.
The RoboKnights also participated in a smaller competition at Inspired Learning PCS, hosted by the Capital City Robotics team, the next day. RoboKnights team members Ahmad Nash, Alex Santos, Jordan Rouse, Braylon Wims, Jakari Powell, and Coach Fedrick Davy will be hosting a competition at FCA on January 28, 2023.
