I was in the Bimini, Bahamas which is 57 miles east of Miami, Florida. I saw many different sharks but the one that caught my eye was when I encountered a Hammerhead shark. It was dark gray on top and at the bottom it was a whitish grayish color. It was big and I saw that there were little fish following it.

When I went to the Bahamas years later suddenly the sand grew darker and I looked up and saw a Hammerhead shark again. This hammerhead shark was 15ft long. Did you know there are nine different Hammerhead sharks but the one I encountered was a ''Great Hammerhead''.

Did you know that their heads  are perfectly designed to increase the surface area of their face? That helps them detect prey. Did you also know that hammerheads aren't usually located in the Bahamas? But today was my lucky day.
