Project 2025 is a presidential transition plan to reshape the United States. Project 2025 includes extreme policy recommendations on topics such as abortion rights, immigration, education and racial justice, and can negatively impact our constitutional freedoms. Project 2025 was created in Washington, DC by the Heritage Foundation. The Heritage Foundation is a research and education institution. Their mission is to build and advocate public policies based on the principles of free enterprises such as limited government, individual freedom and traditional American values. The Heritage Foundation takes their ideas to public officials, and turns them into actions.
Project 2025 brings many potential problems to Americans, and we believe it should be prevented for many reasons. For example, Project 2025 plans to take away Americans rights and ability to have a say in their government actions and choices, which affects every state across the country. Project 2025 plans to control women’s bodies and rights, by proposing that Roe v. Wade be overturned. This is an issue because some women may get raped or experience emergency medical traumas, and wont be able to safely abort their babies. Project 2025 also threatens LGBQTIA+ rights. Specifically, the right to go through gender reassignment procedures, and preventing children from having the option to do so.
Project 2025 negatively impacts the education systems. Project 2025 plans to eradicate the Department of Education and take away the federal government's ability to fund programs for students with special needs and those who live in poverty.
In conclusion, we should do everything in our power to prevent Project 2025. Even though this project might positively impact the country for a small and select few, it will cause tremendous problems and negatively impact most Americnas.
