Tech Prep Starts The Year off With Spirit
Story by Sean Beach and Imani Smith
OCT. 21, 2016: On October 3, 2016, Friendship Tech Prep had a pep rally to launch P.B.I.S (positive behavior intervention strategy). The pep rally was very exciting for all students and staff at school. The band, Academy dancers and cheerleaders all performed to show Titan school spirit. During the pep rally, they told us about many events and activities that the school year holds in store for us.This is just the beginning...or as they said the “kick-off” to the best school year ever. The rally was hosted by the Dean of Students, Mr. Brandon Thompson. During the pep rally, we had a spirit competition for the spirit stick. The grade that had the most school spirit was 6th grade so that means they won the spirit stick. We did little competitions like racing and dancing. The teachers had a dance competition and it was very surprising to see what they could do.
I thought that the pep rally was an exciting event, not only for me but for all the other students. I’ve never been to a pep rally this exciting since I have been at Friendship. This pep rally was just one out of many to come for this school year. It was not just for the launching of P.B.I.S, it was also to get us excited for what we are going to be doing this year.
