APR. 10, 2020: The Coronavirus is a virus that was originally found in animals and, rarely, transmitted from animals to humans and then spread person to person.

However, a recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in China caused global concern. The rise of the Coronavirus dates back to December 2019. It is said that the virus came from seafood and meat markets in China. Since the first outbreak, the virus has spread to other countries including the United States.

To try and prevent the spread of this disease, cities in China were quarantined. However, it did not stop the international spread. In the United States, the Coronavirus has been confirmed in New York, California, Oregon, and Washington State. Deaths have been reported in both Washington State and California.

The Coronavirus has caused stores to be overcrowded by people trying to take precautions from getting infected with the virus by preparing for a city quarantine. As a result, many stores have limited the amount of high demand items a customer can get. For instance, Costco is only allowing customers to purchase two or less cases of water, disinfecting wipes, disinfecting sprays, toilet tissue, and other similar items. Schools are responding to this virus by doing detailed cleaning and closing down. Then, teachers have to prepare lesson plans and homework for students as well as initiating online learning because of the rapidly spreading virus.
