There is a deadly war happening in Ukraine, and it needs to be stopped now before it escalates even more, and more innocent people are killed. Russian troops invaded the country of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, when Russian President Vladimir Putin became upset that Ukraine became independent and was no longer a part of Russia. This meant Putin could no longer rule the country. When Russian troops invaded Ukraine, they started to fire weapons called missiles, destroying towns and killing innocent people.
During the war, there have been lots of different bombs and other dangerous weapons that have been set off that killed many people. It is very sad and devastating to see people killing each other, when they should be working together to improve our world. In addition to that, in the process of this war, many innocent people are dying, and the rest of the world is being affected negatively.
As of 2024, a total of 10,582 Ukrainian civilians and 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have lost their lives. Also, roughly 75,000 Russian soldiers have lost their lives within the deadly war, losing about 120 men per day. In addition to that, because of the war, there is a shortage of food and water in many Ukrainian cities. If we all work together, we can bring awareness to this injustice.
