JAN. 13, 2017: Do you guys like girls volleyball? Because if you do, here’s news about our Friendship Woodridge Middle School Volleyball Team. This year’s team was very good and they were very close to being in the championship. The 2016-2017 coach is Ms. Woodside. There were seven people on the team (six were on the floor). This year is the first year we had a good team. The playoff record the last two years was 1-9, 3-6. This year’s record was 6-2. The two teams we lost to were Friendship Chamberlain Middle School and Cesar Chavez Middle School.
As the Eagles headed to the playoffs, they worked harder to try to be more aggressive than ever. All of the players said that Coach Woodside was a great coach. They also said that Coach Woodside is like an overprotective mom to the players.
Coach Woodside has coached the team for the past three years. She played volleyball in middle school and high school. She currently plays for a local adult league.
