2021 Alumni Day at Big Tech

December 15, 2021, was one of Friendship Tech Prep Academy’s favorite days, Alumni Day. Alumni Day is the time when alumni of Friendship Tech Prep, whether they have just recently graduated, like me, or have graduated years ago, come back to have panel discussions, classroom chats, and several other activities with students who currently attend Tech Prep. Of course, because of COVID, it looked very different from previous years, but it was still an excellent experience for the alumni and Tech Prep students. As a recent graduate of Tech Prep, it was great to share my knowledge of the college transition and how my first semester went with current Tech Prep students. For most of the day, I participated in a panel with other alumni answering questions from the panel moderator, students and staff of Tech Prep. Other alumni like R’Nasia Murphy, Cerra Andrews, Lanaya Thorne, and others participated in classroom discussions and did different activities with students. It was also a great experience as an alum because, for several years, I was a student at Tech Prep in the audience listening to advice and experiences from those who’ve graduated before me. The entire alumni day was phenomenal, and I honestly can’t wait to do it again next year.
