JUL. 20, 2020: I’m in “Zhangjiajie, China looking at the glass bridge. If I was on the glass bridge, I would be terrified, because I'm afraid of heights. In 2018, it was the longest foot bridge in the world...430 meters. The architect’s name is Haim Dotan. I learned that this bridge “can hold up to 800 people at a time’’. This bridge was open August 20, 2016.
My question was “how is this bridge supported”? Wikipedia says that to build the bridge engineers needed to support the bridge by ”erecting 4 support pillars on the edges of the walls of the canyon.” The bridge is made of a metal frame with more than 120 glass panels. And this is a suspension bridge that is supported by cables.
I would like to go on that bridge so I can stop my fear of heights. If you want to learn more, click this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhangjiajie
