APRIL 17, 2018: The Woodridge Eagles Cheerleaders had another big win! Each year the Eagles win it big, again. They came in first place for the fourth year in a row. The team is coached by Ms. Beckwith and Dr. Shipp. All of their hard work has definitely paid off.
As you know, in cheerleading there are four major stages: tumbling, pyramids, flips, and jumps. These four stunts are mostly in their routine. What sets this team apart from the others is their amazing ability to have special flyers. The flyers are the ones who are thrown up in the air to do all kinds of flips and turns which are called stunts. But, you can’t have flyers without the hard work of the base. These special cheerleaders help to hold the flyers up in the air.
Because Woodridge is such an awesome winning team, practice can be long and exhausting. It takes weeks and months to learn a routine with perfection. This is one of the reasons why this team is number one. Congratulations to the Woodridge Eagles on another winning performance!
