Collegiate’s Urban Garden Program Hosts Earth Day

MAY 19, 2021: On April 22, 2021, Friendship Collegiate Academy once again hosted Earth Day, a celebration to promote and encourage kids to take care of themselves and the environment. Scholars planted a variety of plants to encourage emotional, physical, and mental health. We also took our first step into creating and hopefully expanding our urban garden to include chickens and butterflies in order to create a peaceful and safe environment. 

Dezirae Gross is a sophomore at Friendship Collegiate Academy. Vivian Onekya-Ben is a junior at Friendship Collegiate Academy.
