Farewell, Goodbye Circus

APRIL 3, 2017: After 146 years, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus is taking down its tent for good. Known as “The Greatest Show On Earth” the circus will hold its final performance this May. Why? That’s a good question. It is mainly because ticket sales to circuses have declined in recent years. Also, many animal-rights activists believe it is wrong to hold animals in captivity for a long time as they travel. This makes me sad because I’ve always gone to the circus every year. Who hasn’t been to every one of them. We will definitely miss the motorcycle tricks, elephant rides, and the amazing tigers. The circus will be missed by children of all ages. So long to the greatest show ever!
