On February 1st, 2023, Friendship Collegiate Academy senior football players participated in National Signing Day. National Signing Day has traditionally been the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for a collegiate sport with a school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Quron Parrot will be committing to Wheeling University and Qur’an Abdul-Rahim will be committing to Bowie State University.
Parrot’s mother, Tiffany Curry said, “I'm so excited for my son to go to school. It's one thing I always wanted for him to do. I want him to go to school to play well, and I also want him to go to school to get his degree because Quron is very passionate about being in sports training. I just want him to go and be great. Black boy, be great.”
Qur’an’s father, Dean Adbul-Rahim, said, “I feel honored. It's been a long process, and I'm glad he's able to go somewhere where it's free for the most part and to continue what he's trying to be, a successful football scholar.”
