Friendship Tech Prep Hosts School Wide STEM Fair

On Saturday, February 4th, 2017, Friendship Tech Prep hosts our school district-wide STEM Fair. This year, there were many great participants and projects from the brilliant minds of all of the Friendship Schools across the district.

The participants ranged from 5th to 12th grade and each participant was put into one of four categories: science, technology, engineering, or math. The competition was fierce because all of the projects were very innovative.

The prizes were split up by divisions and categories. Division 1 consisted of 5th through 7th graders, and Division 2 had 8th through 12th graders. Each category had six winners, with three from both divisions for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. I took home an awesome 2nd place win in the technology category, while my good friend Anita Doleman, another proud 8th grade Titan, took home 1st prize in the same category. There were also other Tech Prep participants in the fair but were sadly not one of our big winners. In the end, we represented our school the right way and I am proud of myself and my fellow Titans.
