It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie Get Out, but it’s still very fresh in my mind. The film was released on February 24, 2017. Directed by Jordan Peele, it starred Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, and Lil Rel Howery.
This movie is about Chris and his girlfriend Rose, who are meeting her family and friends in the south. Things seem normal, until Chris notices some odd things are happening and not everything is what it seems. He attempts to find out what is happening but he is drugged and hypnotized into submission. Using his quick thinking skills, he escapes his captors and foils their schemes.
This movie is a great watch and enjoyable if you're into chilling psychological horror. The storyline and themes presented in the movie really bring out the genius of Jordan Peele’s creativity and storytelling.
I thought the movie was a bit confusing when I first watched it, especially when Chris is figuring out the full story behind this family and their evil plot. However, it's a great movie and I would recommend watching it if you're into mind games and sudden jump scares.
