MARCH 17, 2017: The Hour of Code took place at Friendship Collegiate Academy on December 04, 2016. Hour of code is a global movement as part of Computer Science Education Week that reached out to millions of students in over 180 countries. It was a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. At Collegiate on each floor in different academies, students were engaged in this task. These activities were specifically selected for students who had coding experience and could work independently with no assistance from an instructor.

Laila Chavez is a senior at Friendship Collegiate Academy.
