JV Knights Drop the Ball Against Dematha, 21-14
News Brief and photo by Isabella Bean
October 20, 2021. The JV Knights faced off against the DeMatha Stags on the Donald L. Hence Field. After an emotional memorial service for Coach Crews, the teams went head to head. After the first half, the score was 34-0, with Dematha in the lead. During the second half, the Knights really turned it around. They scored 2 touchdowns with 1 safety, getting 14 points.
When asked for a quote, Coach Mason said, “We had to give a tough fight for Coach Crews and we had to come out with the same energy that we came out with in the first half.” The Knights put up a good fight, but unfortunately not enough for this game. I hope Collegiate’s JV team pulls it together for the last few games so we can go out with a win! Hope to see y’all at the next game!
