LSU Roars in Citrus Bowl

JAN. 25, 2017: In the last game of the 2016 College Football Season, LSU played Louisville in the Citrus Bowl located in Orlando, Florida. Coming into the game, LSU had to stop Heisman Trophy Winner powerhouse quarterback Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson averaged 272.5 pass yards per game. He had a 56.2 pass percentage, and 148.8 QB rating. But the LSU defense turned out to be good against the Heisman Trophy winners.

Lamar Jackson is a great outside runner and the LSU defense is very fast on the outside. During the whole year, the LSU defense only allowed 16 touchdowns. During the game, Lamar Jackson ran the ball 26 times for a total of 33 yards. He also completed 10 out of 27 passes and only had 153 yards.

An LSU wide receiver had 7 receptions for 139 yards. Danny Etling (LSU QB) had 217 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Derrius Guice had 138 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. LSU won the game 29-9.
