Mothers Matter

Story and photo by Kennedi Lewis.

On Sunday, May 14, everyone all over the world celebrated Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day is celebrated because mothers gave us things we need, like shelter, food, water, clothes, and shoes. Mothers are important because they gave us life, and without them we wouldn't be here.

I think Mother’s Day should be celebrated everyday because of what mothers do for us and the important things they provide. For example, my mother pays the rent and bills for us. Without my mom, we wouldn't be able to shower, wash our hands, use the bathroom, or have electricity.

I also celebrate my mother because she loves and cares for my siblings and me. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers out there, we are grateful for you!
