Pet Sharks!

FEB. 27, 2021:  I found myself in the middle of the ocean on a boat in the Grand Bahamas with sharks all around me! 

It all started when a tourist company told me about a few activities I could do while I was in the Bahamas. I picked the diving tour and I thought I chose “Reef Diving” but later I realized it said “Reef Shark Diving.” Oops!  After some time I was under water snorkeling with the tour guide. I looked over at what the other divers were doing. They were floating around some sharks! Uh, oh! But to my surprise, the tourists and the tour guide started petting the sharks. So I went ahead and joined them. The sharks kind of reminded me of dogs. 

I enjoyed going to the Bahamas and getting to see that some sharks aren’t like the way they’re pictured in movies such as Jaws.  

And, if you’re with your family, you can try a safer attraction like going to the Garden of the Groves because it offers a lot of family-friendly activities like the Arts and Crafts Center with crafts such as straw weaving, wood carving, seashell art and much more.
