Should DC Schools Continue to Protest?

Story by Sean Beach. Photo from www.nymag.com

For the past weeks, high school and college students in Washington, DC have been walking out of school to protest the president-elect, Donald Trump.

These students are walking around Washington, DC to have their voices heard in order to protest Donald Trump becoming the 45th president of the United States. To me, this is great because students who are in the same age groups as me want their voices to be heard. But, will this change anything? I do not think it will, because Donald Trump is already the president. It’s not going to change something that is already official. The only thing that could change might be the electoral college vote on December 19, 2016.

I really love that students want to go out and protest something as important as this. But, I don’t think that is a reason to lose some of your education. Some students may be already failing, but they want to leave school to join a protest. Do you think that this is a good reason for students to leave school and miss out on their education?
