That’s a Wrap! FCA’s Cross Country Team Participates in DCSAA Cross Country Championship

November 6, 2021. FCA’s cross country team participated in the DCSAA Varsity Boys Cross Country Championship. This event was much different than the others because bigger schools showed up like St Johns, Gonzaga, and WIlson. This time our boys Braylon Wims, Jakari Powell, Amar Lewis and Tylleal Bucanan had their times recorded as follows:

Amar Lewis- 31:05.24

Jakari Powell 31:40.78

Braylon Wims- 32:28.47

Tylleal Buchannan- 39:27.62

The final words about our season from our coach, Mr.Richardson were,“It was our first season as a school cross country team after not having one for many years. We were novice and with hard work we’ll only get better next year.” 

This was an amazing season and great first real high school sport for me. I hope I can keep up, improve and do a lot better next time and the times after that. So until next time...!
