The Fun and Exciting Blow Pierce FNN Book Party

APR. 3, 2020: In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, FNN hosts an annual Book Party where students in grades preschool through 1st grade are able to read books, eat cookies, and take home a free book of their choice.
A lot of teachers at Blow Pierce like to decorate their classes and add their own twist to the Book Party to get the students excited about reading! This year, the prekindergarten team worked together for the Book Party. The Blow Pierce Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Pinnock and 8th year teacher, Ms. Preau were guest readers at the party. After the students listened to books, the teachers served students a snack that represented different Dr. Seuss books. To close out the Book Party, students took a vote on which Dr. Seuss movie they wanted to watch, The Grinch or The Cat in the Hat. Students voted on The Grinch and were later dismissed back to their classes where they ate cookies.
The FNN Book Party is always exciting to see and be a part of. The pre-kindergarteners really seemed to enjoy their party and I had a lot of fun watching them. Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!
