MARCH 21, 2016: On January 2, 2016, Sean Beach and I went to the Georgetown Hoyas basketball game. It was their second game at their home court. When they came out the song that was played was “Jumpman”, by the rapper, Future. Jumpman is a popular song made in DC. The Georgetown players inspire me to play together with my friends when I play basketball. Sean and I took different pictures of the game. That was our entertainment.
We went to the Georgetown basketball game because our band at our school performed. They performed every time there was a timeout or halftime. The band did a really good job. They are smart intelligent students representing our school, Friendship Tech Prep Middle School. The band leader is Mr. Keith Kilgo. Mr. Kilgo was a musician in the 1970s with an R&B group called Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds. The group originated at Howard University here in DC.
During the halftime break they put a small dog on a skateboard and he rode it all the way to the end of the court. Georgetown’s mascot shot shirts. But since we were sitting in the front, when he shot the shirts, they went way past us. We really enjoyed ourselves at the game. The good news for the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team is that they won all their games except for one.
Terrance Parker and Sean Beach are 7th grade scholars at Friendship Tech Prep Middle School.
