Aspiring to become Great

NOV. 15, 2016: I am one who loves football. I love the action and I have an extreme passion for the game. There are many players in the NFL today who I look up to, but there is no one I aspire to be like more than JJ Watt. Ever since I moved to defensive end, JJ is someone who I've kept a close eye on.

Justine James, also known as JJ Watt is an American football player. He plays defensive end for the Houston Texans of the National Football League(NFL). It is safe to say that the 6’5” 289 pound 27-year-old is one of the league's most dominant defenders. JJ Watt was drafted by the Texans in the 2011 NFL draft. He was the 11th overall pick. Over the course of his young career, he has accumulated 299 tackles and 76 sacks as a pass rusher.

The young star recently became the first player in NFL history with multiple 20-sack seasons. If he continues on this track, he will become a future ‘Hall of Famer”. JJ and I both play the same position and when I make it to the NFL, I believe I can be just as good, if not better than him. He has become my role model because I aspire to be more like him. This year I have accumulated nine sacks, 30 tackles and three touchdowns over the course of four games.

Pretty soon you’ll see me in the NFL along with JJ Watt. With my work ethic, I am sure that I can dominate the National Football League just as Watt is doing now. With my speed and relentless style of play, I can see myself as a force to be reckoned with. Hopefully, one day I can break his records and become a future hall of famer just like JJ Watt.
