NOV. 26, 2019: On Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, 2019, members of Future Business Leaders of America from all across the country met at the Washington Hilton for the 1st National Fall Leadership Conference. There are three cities where members could choose to attend: Washington, DC, Birmingham, Alabama, and Denver, Colorado. So of course, we chose our hometown, Washington, DC.
We were so excited to attend this conference, as this was our first National Fall Leadership Conference as a chapter of FBLA. This conference was filled with so much excitement for creating a World of Opportunity, which is the FBLA theme for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Throughout the conference, members were able to engage in a plethora of workshops, networking opportunities, and general sessions. Some of the Tech Prep members attended workshops such as Lead4Change, which gave us information about how to better our community through community outreach projects. Some of our members also attended a project management workshop to learn about how planning, time, and control were the three main factors to ensure our projects are managed appropriately.
Throughout this conference, we were able to learn so many different skills to implement in our local and state chapters so that we can continue to create a World of Opportunity for our members this school year.
