Tech Prep Preps for the PSAT/SAT
Story by Asia Ferrell and Photo essay by Sean Beach.
NOV. 26, 2019: At Friendship Technology Preparatory Academy we are getting ready for the big day when students take the SAT. In order for the students in grades 10 through 12 to be on the verge of acing this test, they need to practice every week. Ms. Booth, our principal, paid for students to learn SAT techniques through the Kaplan PSAT/SAT program and various interventions to help them be successful on the SAT.
I'm glad that my principal cared enough to pay for a program for groups of students so that they are able to prepare for the PSAT/SAT. The instructor from the Kaplan PSAT/SAT program ensured that the students were given helpful skills and tips to be able to master what was on the tests. We understand how important the PSAT/SAT test is to many students these days because to get into the big colleges you have to get a high score that goes beyond the range of scores from 1160 to 1340. Tech Prep juniors take the PSAT in the fall and the SAT in the spring because the school wants the scholars to be prepared. We can’t wait to see the scores for our juniors because we know everyone did great.
