On February 7, 2020, the Friendship Tech Prep Varsity Blue Belles traveled to Highland Springs, Virginia to compete in the DMV Stomp & Shake. There were teams throughout the DMV area from elementary to high school. The younger competitors did a great job and won a trophy in numerous categories.

Of course when you are a ninth grader you are in the Freshmen Academy and once you are a tenth grader until your senior year you can either be a part of the Academy of Engineering or the Academy of Urban Ecology.

The different sessions are: PARCC Push on Fridays because we have half days, TNT Saturday Camp and tutoring sessions after school so students can get a clarification on the things that they have problems with.

On February 26, 2019 the Friendship Tech Prep Academy Varsity Boys basketball team won the PCSAA championship basketball game. Not only that, the team was undefeated all season long. The game was against Cesar Chavez. Tech Prep staff members, students, and parents were all there to support our basketball players.

This school year I've joined the cheerleading team and the experience is definitely fantastic and interesting. The experience is interesting because the team bonded with the newcomers quickly and I truly liked that. I learned that team bonding is something I needed to work on because I really didn't like working with others until I became a cheerleader.

On September 28, 2017, reporters from FNN Tech Prep had the chance to visit the wonderful Newseum to see many different exhibits and to play around in the Interactive NewsRoom. Many of us have already been to the Newseum but each time we go we are able to learn many new things. We finally got to see the new and improved FBI exhibit and learn some new things about one of our favorite topics which is 9/11.
