MAR. 13, 2020: There is a life-threatening virus going around called the “Coronavirus”. This deadly disease began in China in December 2019. Many scientists say that the disease started from an animal and was then transmitted to a human. But they aren't sure enough with current evidence. This disease was traveling slowly at the end of 2019. Then, at the beginning of the year, it started to spread rapidly. The worldwide death toll as of now is close to 3,000 and the disease is now in the United States.
The deadly disease has now been transmitted to Seattle, Washington where they had to close down numerous schools to contain the spread of the virus. A school in Washington called Mill Creek had to close down for the day because a student contracted the Coronavrius also called COVID-19.
As of right now there seems to be no cure or treatment to prevent the Coronavirus and knowing that something this big is going around without any solution, is quite scary. Since Coronavirus is an airborne disease, you can help prevent contracting the disease by “staying away from others who are sick”, wash and sanitize after any contact with public items and lastly and most importantly, STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK! Though there isn’t a treatment, there are a few celebrities who have donated to research in order to help move the process along faster. This may be a scary situation and now that the virus is in DC, then it may be more of a higher risk than ever.
