AUG. 13, 2020: Today I’m at Gogo Falls, Nairobi, Kenya and we’re eating breakfast. And yes I said “we”, because today I’m at a manor where I can eat breakfast with giraffes!  To be specific I’m at Giraffe Manor.

It’s a big home where giraffes can poke their heads in the big windows and be right beside the seats you sit at to eat. They come to greet and meet you, but also for the treats of course. Their species have died down by 40% over the last 20 years, so they have been said to be having a “silent extinction”, mainly because people aren’t really talking about it.

I’m glad I learned that we need to start helping certain kinds of species of giraffes so they don’t go extinct and these kind gentle animals survive.
