AUG. 13, 2020: Today I visited a watering hole with elephants in the African Serengeti.  It was very hot and quiet, but a bad thing happened. A baby elephant fell and got stuck into the watering hole!  The other elephants tried really hard to get it out but it was super hard and it took a long while.

After a little bit, a baby hippo and its mom started coming over so they had to work fast. They tried harder and harder but the mother hippo started getting closer and closer and Even tried to attack the mother elephant.  So she fought back and won the fight. Eventually, the baby got out of the water.

Today’s adventure taught me that elephants are a very brave animal species!
