NOV. 25, 2019: Megan Pete, better known as Megan Thee Stallion, is an American 24-year-old rapper, songwriter, singer, and actress. She premiered in a series called “Hottieween”. She has albums such as Tina Snow, and Fever. She is working on a degree in Health Administration as a third year college student.
All these things are very inspiring to young ladies all around the globe. Some things that aren't really inspiring are her lyrics and clothing choices. Her lyrics consist of words that aren't appropriate to direct or call another person. Her clothing choices are very revealing. This isn’t a good image in my opinion. This can make minors want to copy her actions, which are not appropriate for children. To prove my point I will ask two adults and two children to give their opinions about Megan.
Seventh grader Zoe Butler says, “I think that she can be an inspiration for women because of her independence, but her clothing choices could be very revealing. Also, her songs can be mildly inappropriate because of her inappropriate language.”
Academy Director Erica Stevens said, “She can be an inspiration. In a culture where women are often controlled by the views and opinions of men, she creates music that is evident of our abundant power. This can be scary when we think of young girls listening to her music because no one can control how they receive it. Her message can be dangerous in the wrong hands.”
Seventh graders Lauryn Tyler and Diamond Hunter said, “She is pretty and smart. She is an influential person. This is because she inspires people to be a boss and to stand up for herself. She is very talented because of her music. She can multitask with many things such as school and music.”
Eighth grade English teacher Emeka Nwokorie thinks that, “She is not an abomination to some and an inspiration to others because she’s in college working towards her degree so she has a fallback plan. But, more importantly, she is conscious about what’s she’s doing.”
In conclusion, Megan is more of an inspiration than an abomination. Many people think that she inspires because she can multitask. Kids in younger generations are smarter than what they think. They can see what is good and bad in her music.
