This past weekend one of the biggest concerts of the year was held in California, the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Over five million viewers tuned in to watch the live performance of Beyoncé. She is the first black woman to headline the music festival.

This was a great field trip before heading off for a week-long springbreak. Ms. Beckwith, Woodridge’s 7th and 8th grade science teacher, wanted us to have a real-world experience with science while learning about the watershed community and the impact that people have on the natural world.
